It was during his Formative years as a student of medicine and then as a consulting rheumatologist that he came in contact with people from different strata of society and their pain and misery lead him to focus on providing relief to poor and needy. He is the vision, energy and the inspiration behind all activities conducted under the banner of Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation and other sister organizations. The foundations main focus is on social, health, education and environmental issues not the least is a back bone of disaster management related activities. His teachings and preaching s focus on the ethically practical and practically ethical aspects of all spheres of an individual s life. Thus, it is no wonder then that his following comprises of millions of people of different faiths and religions across the globe.

Direction for the time to come

This book has the direction for the time to come. The insight of the happenings around the world is very well documented. There are many things to learn from the book about history and future. And not surprisingly, when I read newspaper about international affairs, I see exactly same what is written by Dr Aniruddha Joshi. Thanks to Lotus publication for bringing such a nice book on stall. The book has meaningful cover page and back page. And publisher has maintained the quality of the book at high standards. Everyone must read this book.

Incredibly Thoughtful Collection.....

Disclaimer: I was approached by a representative of Dr. Joshi to do a review of this book, which I accepted; I received a copy of the book but declined any further compensation.
Truthfully, before being approached by Dr. Joshi's representative, this book was not on my radar, surprising considering my acute interest in the subject matter. This volume is what I would best describe as a series of essays on the subjects of International Relations and Geopolitics deftly connected to create a well written book covering a variety of security concerns world wide. The point of view is solidly Indian, with a spiritual bend, but reading Dr. Joshi's biography this is hardly surprising.
I went into the book with an open mind and without any pre-conceived notions, and simply put came away quite impressed with the eloquence and passion Dr. Joshi brings to the subject matter. He paints a vivid portrait starting with the First World War, with detailed discussions of every major military and geopolitical event that followed (WWII, The Cold War, etc.).
Dr. Joshi then begins a series of essays discussing current geopolitical and military concerns broken down by region. From Russia and China, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, Terrorism and even covering detailed military issues, Dr. Joshi presents a compelling and insightful work that I would recommend to everyone interested in the subject, if for no other reason that it presents an alternative point of view that most western readers and academics in the fields of International Relations, Geopolitics and Military & National Security issues are probably not familiar with.
In closing, while I may not agree with all of Dr. Joshi's recommendations and conclusions, he has done such a good job of illustrating his points that I cannot help but nod in admiring respect. Overall a very well executed work, and worthy of a five star rating.

Must read

This is an awesome book which covers global political issues with lucidity. Best thing is that it builds the matter by reviewing history. The author has done lot of research behind the subject matter. It is the first book about much heard third world war, which does not predict but is an outcome of solid rational thinking about world's history and current political and military scenarios...seriously must read!! Hats off to Aniruddha
