About the Author
Nicholas Bradley “Buddy” Michael Griffiths II is a convoluted combination of various interests and competencies who wrote a logic text because there weren’t any available that suited his needs. Buddy debated between philosophy and biochemistry when entering college and chose biochemistry as he was accepted into the great books honors program, the Torrey Honors Institute which included some great philosophical and humanities content. Torrey made him love the humanities much more than he expected, so he kept studying them on his own and having conversations with friends and acquaintances about everything from epistemology to rap. He continued his education by studying philosophy and history of science and will have completed his master’s degree in December 2015. He has taught formally in the humanities, logic, economics, and the hard sciences since 2006. Know Thyself

Best logic book on the market

This is the best introduction to logic on the market. Especially for private schools, independent schools, and homeschool families, this book does more and does it better than Peter Kreeft's Socratic Logic, Memoria Press's Traditional Logic, or any other.
It is at once more readable than many other logic books and more thorough and systematic. It is also far more funny!
Logic is a "master skill" that applies to every other field, whether science, social science, or humanities -- so it must be taken seriously and done well. This book will help you or your students to do that.
If you have tried to teach logic before with some of the cumbersome, bloated, technical, dry, irreverent books -- this book will appear as a revelation from a clear sky.
Clear reasoning is needed in science, debate, Socratic discussion of literature, in philosophy, theology, history, and everywhere. So this book dips into each of these fields for examples and applications, helping students understand that the logical structures of good arguments are the same wherever they appear.
It is also the only book I know of that covers informal logic, formal Aristotelian logic, symbolic logic, scientific induction, at a high school readable level. Simply the best.
