Simple, no-fuss, delicious recipes

I found this book on accident. I'm NOT a cookbook person, but I do use my crockpot several nights a week and this title caught my eye. I thumbed through the pages and found that there are hundreds of recipes that use a short list of simple ingredients. The prep time for most recipes is very short. The instructions are pretty simple, and the tips are very helpful. This book is great for busy people who want to eat simple, homecooked meals that are easy to throw together. 20-somethings who are moving to their first apartment and newlyweds would really enjoy this book, as would new moms. Some of the dietary recommendations are a little outdated, like the emphasis on low-fat. However, most recipes are naturally low-fat, and if you don't like using low-fat/fat-free ingredients, you could just use the regular version. The recipes are neatly categorized by main ingredient or meal, as you'd expect from a cookbook, and then there's an index at the back that categorizes recipes by ingredient. This is very helpful if you want to use up, say, an acorn squash or you feel like making something with sweet potatoes.
As to be expected, there aren't pictures that go along with every recipe.
This is a great staple cookbook that every household should have on hand!

Phyllis Good misrepresented "revised & updated"

I have a Fix-It and Forget-It Lightly cookbook with a Copyright date 2004. This Fix-It and Forget-It Cooking Light cookbook, Copyright 2015, reads that it is revised and updated. Not only are the recipes the same as the 2004 edition, but the names of the people who submitted the recipes in the first book are the same, on most pages the order of the recipes are the same, the nutritional info the same, the "note" is the same. The only differences I can find are that the black and white illustrations have been replaced with green and white, there are comments in green by people, and there are some measurements info.

I love this cookbook The ingredients I need to prepare my meals I already have in my freezer and pantry. The recipes are easy to follow and the food taste wonderful. It simple and easy. Also it helps in weight loss. I have lost 30lbs using this cookbook.
