What size Crock-Pot should be used?

This book has an integrated Table of Contents with each recipe listed. Each recipe includes a small photo, the prep and cooking times, serving size, ingredient list, cooking directions and possible variations. A lot of canned soups, packages of dried mixes and various cheeses are used in these recipes which does speed up preparation time, but in most cases it also increases the amount of sodium per serving.
I gave this book only 3 stars because it does not give the size of Crock-Pot needed for each recipe. When cooking with a Crock-Pot, it does make a difference if you use the wrong size Crock-Pot for the amount of food you're cooking. Smaller amounts of food "can" be cooked in a larger Crock-Pot. Basically the food will just cooker faster. It's not a big deal. The real problem is if you only have a smaller Crock-Pot and try to use a recipe that was created for larger Crock-Pot. There's a possibility the food will not fully cook in the allotted time. (The food might even overflow out of the Crock-Pot.) For proper cooking, Crock- Pots should be filled 1/2 to 2/3 full, no more and no less. For someone new to Crock-Pot cooking, it can be difficult to look at an ingredient list and know what size Crock-Pot is called for. An experienced cook can probably figure it out.

Perfect for beginers.

I purchased a crock pot but don't really know how to use it. So, when I saw this book offered for free on Kindle - purchasing it was a no brainer. This has many good home cooked crockpot recipes. It is great for a beginning cook or at least someone who is just beginning to use a crockpot.
Recommendations: This is a nice addition to any crockpot purchase (wish it came with mine). I love that it is e-book because it is easier to flip through and get to exactly what you want. Perfect for beginning or novice cooks as well as those not so familiar with crockpot cooking.
Pros: E-book offered free on Kindle, basic cooking skills and good crockpot recipes, 50 complete meals!
Cons: This would be a great addition to any crockpot; sadly mine didn't come with one.
