Had it not been for the sudden overthrow of President Yanukovich, the US was prepared to take the country down the path of the Syrian scenario, which would have been its second full-fledged application of Hybrid War.

Andrew’s revolutionary research ultimately shows that it was the US, not Russia, which spearheaded the use of Hybrid Wars, and that given his proven findings, it’s irresponsible to even call Russia’s alleged involvement in the Ukrainian Crisis a ‘hybrid war’. In fact, the US is far ahead of any other country in practicing this new method of warfare, as no other state has attempted a Color Revolution thus far, let alone transitioned it into an Unconventional War when their initial regime change plans failed. Andrew Korybko’s ground breaking HYBRID WARS: THE INDIRECT ADAPTIVE APPROACH TO REGIME CHANGE was inspired from the findings of the 2014 Moscow Conference on International Security where a new phrase “Adaptive Approach” was coined to describe the evolving USA’s regime change template and method of warfare employed to maintain their full spectrum dominance over the globe. Korybko expanded on this, placing the Adaptive Approach theory into a geo-political framework, exploring and demonstrating that a combination of colour revolutions and unconventional warfare has become the preferred strategy and tactics for the USA to engage in state destabilization, ready for strategic deployment across the world.

The USA’s actions in Libya pose one extreme end of this aim of maintaining its global status quo, whilst at the other extreme is that of Syria and Ukraine, countries much closer to the core of Russia, where the USA is using indirect, unconventional warfare involving a new, to quote Korybko,“patterned approach towards regime change”. The model for this is colour revolutions and unconventional warfare. Korybko considers this as how the USA will conduct future wars and the structural events in Syria and Ukraine served as the case studies for testing this new theory.

In Hybrid Wars, every aspect of colour revolutions is explored with terms such as “network warfare” discussed and the influence of social media which ultimately aims to create a “swarm” of anti-government actors”. Part of this regime change template includes an array of unconventional warfare strategies including non-state actors and these, along with the strategy of colour revolutions, are mutually complementary parts of the strategy for regime change, a unique concept where the two components flow effortlessly into and out of one another.

I love this book.

If “shots” calls to mind those dive-bar staples from your college days, rest assured that Architecture of the Shot: Constructing the Perfect Shot from the Bottom Up (by Knorr and Wood) elevates the form to a new classic, promising to enliven even the stodgiest of adult dinner parties.

Using the elegant, minimalist lines of architectural blueprints, Wood manages to convey the proper ingredients, volumes, and glass shape (yes, shot glasses come in many shapes) for each yummy sip at a glance. The classics are there too, and some concoctions are best thrown back in one go (like the obligatory Kamikaze), but many others are too delicious to rush, and all will impress.

It might be irresistible to use this book as checklist, creating one recipe after another, and using it as a guide to stock your liquor (and liqueur) cabinet. Like its wildly successful companion, The Architecture of the Cocktail, this one is sturdily printed and bound so that it will stand up to frequent use. While I haven’t downed a shot since the occasional Kamikazes of my college days, The Architecture of a Shot is sure to change that. With clear directions, quirky facts, and Melissa Wood’s detailed drawings, this book is the ideal hostess gift or adult stocking stuffer. I’m already planning a Tapas and Mini Cocktail Party as a welcome counterpoint to the bigger-is-better mentality that is finally abating as we move to de-clutter our overfilled schedules and overstuffed homes. Paul Knorr’s historical, often humorous, tidbits (the B-52 is a shot “named after a band that was named after a hairdo that was named after an aircraft”) and practical tips to avoid setting the bar on fire when preparing a flaming shot provide the blueprint for impressive and entertaining drinks, to say the least. These shots range from the crass (Sloe Comfortable Screw) to the whimsical (P B and J), the classic (Fuzzy Navel, Boilermaker) to the festive (Santa, Candy Corn)—to the even more obscure and inventive (Fifty-Seven Chevy, Crouching Tiger). Though a few shots sport less-than-appealing names (Antifreeze? Windex?) others challenge (Mind Eraser) and tantalize (Silk Panties). Along with The Architecture of a Cocktail, this is a must-have for any adventuresome drinker/entertainer. With 75 recipes for shots that will provide gustatory and aesthetic pleasure for years, this lovely book may even inspire us to invent our own mini-cocktails as they become all the rage.

Small but Mighty!!!

This small, beautiful book is crammed with information from the end papers to the final page. Being somewhat of a trivia buff I, particularly, enjoyed reading the fascinating origins of the 75 shots. "A shot and a beer", is what I recall my Dad asking for at a country saloon in years past. Shots have come a long way since those bygone days. The names alone blow your sox off. Have you had the chance to enjoy: a FIFTY-SEVEN CHEVY, FLAT TIRE, GIRL SCOUT COOKIE, JOLLY RANCHER, MIND ERASER, OATMEAL COOKIE, PB&J, PRAIRIE FIRE, SILK PANTIES? These are just a few of the recipes in this book. The Architecture of the Shot is not only informative, it is also beautiful. The diagrams of each shot are magnificently executed. Detailed blueprints illustrate every specification of the concoction from the proper glass to the quantities of liquor. If you like being on the cutting edge of today's bar scene, this book merits a place on your bookshelf. It would also make a great gift for the young and the hip. That's Yiayia talking.

- Do the Things That You Dread the Most First. No matter what it is that you want to do, you should always do the things that you dread the most first, this is called eating the frog. This way you are not putting these tasks off while finishing up more enjoyable tasks, you simply do them, get them out of the way and then you can move on to the tasks that you will enjoy more.

Helped my productivity!

So after reading this book i can safely say I know a lot of new things! I believe trying some of the suggestions in here about specific lists to make and organizational habits I will become much more productive. Productivity and efficiency have always been problematic for me as I get distracted easily and think about too many things at once. So I end up forgetting very important things that need to be done.

Learning from this book will definitely help me with that. It is a short read and can be read in an hour, but it can still teach you many different things. I'd recommend anyone who has trouble with organization to give this book a try! What can you lose a tiny few bucks?

It's all about the motivation they as a person have, and their willingness to follow through on that. I recommend you check this book out if you are looking for some simple ways you can improve your productivity!

It's funny how the Universe works

I read the whole book through at once because I couldn't stop. It inspired me to continue harder on my path, and to do my part to spread kindness by helping turn around the obesity epidemic that is not just an American problem anymore. Too many people including children are suffering from obesity related chronic diseases, mental anguish, and shorter lifespans. Most obese people feel helpless to overcome this sickness, I have lost 125lbs and reversed several major health problems. I want to help others do the same.

The resources in your book are also a goldmine for any one wanting to get their message out. I didn't realize that you were so famous, and well established. I originally bought your book as a random act of kindness to help out a fellow aspiring writer lol, plus the title sparked my interest. It's funny how the Universe works, I thought I was helping you, but it was actually the other way around. Thanks for the inspiration and courage you've given me to make a difference in the world.

Son bilingües, quechua hablantes con tradiciones urbano – rurales en tanto algunos han estado en varias circunstancias de sus vidas en el urbe provincial más cercano, pero su cotidianeidad de agricultores o profesores de educación la llevan con sus parejas algunas de ellas no bilingües, sino antes bien, marcadas más fuertemente por la tradición patriarcal ancestral. Estos varones, aceptan voluntariamente los talleres que llevan sus mujeres, “porque les va a servir para educar a sus hijos”.

A Must Read!

I had originally proofread "An Awakening" and for the fun of it read it again, just as a regular reader would. It’s not a fast read, nor is it for the faint of mind. The reading is after-all geared towards adults, and thus his ideas at times complex. Jari however, covers everything well by using examples and alternate wording to make sure his overall meaning is not lost, but understood.
The idea of The Indigo Child is not completely new, yet Jari takes it from the abstract and applies to the reality of the children (and adults) of today. I am sure many of you will see Indigo traits within yourselves, and perhaps all of them. Especially if you have always felt “different” from others, seen things in a different way, or felt things others could not. If so, you may very well be Indigo yourself.
This book will help you realize what is going on, and gives excellent examples of how special Indigos can be and how they are already changing the world.
It is also a comprehensive study of consciousness in all its forms, with a riveting history of the science of the mind. From the scientific perspective, to extra sensory perception, mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and their surprising connections, ADHD, autism, and super intelligence, it’s truly the first book of its kind that goes into such depth and is a pleasure to read.
As a personal note, I have read thousands of words by Jari and there was something inspired about this book, something that was inspired for him to write and directed from an outside force. This is not a new phenomenon as many of the great authors of the 19th and 20th centuries have stated the same odd feeling, that they been driven to do so through an unknown consciousness.
If you are interested on improving your knowledge on the Indigo phenomenon and the science behind it, you owe it to yourself to read this book.

About the Author
Reiland Rabaka is professor of African, African American, and Caribbean studies in the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he also has affiliations with the Women & Gender Studies Program, Humanities Program, Center for Studies of Ethnicity & Race in America (CSERA), and School of Education. He is the author of twelve books, including Africana Critical Theory, Against Epistemic Apartheid, Forms of Fanonism, and The Negritude Movement.
