Brief, Yet Rich.

Hannah August provides an informative and readable analysis of the human stories behind the statistical data regarding New Zealand's so-called 'man drought'. It would seem that such a term is quite the misnomer - August argues that instead of fretting over (and commercially exploiting) the tired old habits of 'partnering up', we would be better served thinking about how we can make our society more inclusive. August's interviewees make as many insightful comments as she does, and she is clearly a deft hand as an interviewer.
This is a thought-provoking read: at times sad, at times wistful, at times wryly humourous. Definitely worth your time and money.
